  • 2 pieces English cucumbers fresh and crunchy
  • 1 cup purple onion thinly sliced
For the Dressing
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup mayonnaise or vegan alternative
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill or other herbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and thinly slice them along with the purple onion.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together sour cream (or Greek yogurt) and mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Add white vinegar, granulated sugar, fresh dill, salt, and pepper to the dressing and mix until fully combined.
  4. Pour the dressing over the cucumber and onion in the large bowl and toss gently.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and meld flavors.
  6. Before serving, give it a gentle toss and adjust seasoning if necessary.
