- Prepare the Cajun Seasoning by whisking together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, cayenne, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic and half of the Cajun seasoning, and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
- Stir in 1 cup of uncooked long grain white rice and toast for about 2 minutes until slightly translucent.
- Pour in 2 cups of chicken broth, bring to a boil, cover, lower the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter, toss in 1 pound of large raw shrimp with remaining Cajun seasoning.
- Once the rice is nearly done, place the seasoned shrimp on top, cover, and cook for an additional 3–5 minutes.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve hot.
