Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a large pot over medium-high heat, then add the sliced Andouille sausage. Cook for 5–7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add another tablespoon of butter, followed by celery, bell pepper, and onion. Sauté for 6–7 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Stir in long-grain rice and toast lightly for 2–3 minutes. Pour in the chicken broth and tomatoes, mixing well.
  5. Increase heat to a simmer, then cover and transfer to the oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until rice is tender.
  6. Remove from oven, fold in shrimp, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
