Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add your pasta of choice, cooking according to package instructions until al dente, typically about 8-10 minutes.
  2. In a food processor, combine sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and pine nuts. Pulse until finely chopped. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil until smooth.
  3. Add Parmesan cheese and black pepper into the food processor. Pulse until well combined, adjusting seasoning as needed.
  4. Return the drained pasta to the pot over low heat. Add the pesto and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss gently for about 2 minutes.
  5. Plate the pasta and sprinkle with optional toppings like roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves. Serve immediately.
