  • 4 cloves Garlic minced or pressed
  • 28 ounces Canned Tomatoes whole or crushed
  • 1 bunch Fresh Basil chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 to taste Pepper freshly cracked
  • 1 pinch Sugar optional, to balance acidity

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat for about 1 minute.
  2. Add 1 diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in 4 minced garlic cloves and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in 28 ounces of canned whole or crushed tomatoes and stir.
  5. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of salt, freshly cracked pepper, and optional sugar; stir well.
  7. Simmer for another 5-10 minutes until rich and aromatic.
  8. Stir in chopped basil leaves before serving.
  9. Ladle over cooked pasta and enjoy!
