Preparation
- Add thinly sliced beef, beef broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the Instant Pot. Stir gently to combine the ingredients evenly.
- Secure the lid and set the pressure valve to 'sealing.' Cook on High Pressure for 10 minutes.
- After the cooking time is complete, let the pressure release naturally for about 10 minutes. Carefully switch the pressure valve to 'venting' to release any remaining steam.
- Your beef should be juicy and fork-tender.
Cheese Sauce
- In a medium saucepan, melt unsalted butter over medium heat until bubbly. Gradually stir in all-purpose flour.
- Slowly whisk in milk, continuing to stir until the sauce thickens (about 5-7 minutes). Stir in hot sauce and sharp cheddar cheese until fully melted.
Assembling Sandwiches
- Spread a thin layer of butter on the insides of the onion hamburger buns and toast them in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Pile the cooked beef high onto the toasted buns, then drizzle the creamy spicy cheese sauce over the beef.
- Serve immediately for a comforting meal.

Notes
Don’t skip toasting the buns! This step prevents sogginess and adds a delightful crunch.
