Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C). Grease a baking dish lightly.
- In a large bowl, combine olive oil, hot sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Add cubed russet potatoes and toss well.
- Spread marinated potatoes in a greased baking dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes.
- While potatoes bake, cube the chicken breast and marinate using the same mixture of olive oil, hot sauce, and spices.
- Lower the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and layer marinated chicken on top of the baked potatoes.
- Combine shredded cheddar cheese, diced ham, and sliced green onions, then scatter over the chicken and potatoes.
- Return to oven for an additional 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with extra green onions and optional sour cream.
