  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the remaining softened butter with ¾ cup of dark brown sugar until creamy.
  3. Add the cooled brown butter, ⅓ cup of maple syrup, ¼ cup of apple butter, 1 large egg, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and blend.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and kosher salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Mix in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans evenly into the dough.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls.
  8. Bake the cookies for about 8 minutes, then tap the pan and bake for another 1-2 minutes.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for approximately 10 minutes.
  10. For optional glaze, melt the remaining butter and mix with maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth.
