Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and reserve the fat.
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of ¼ to ½ inch, and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. In the same skillet, add a splash of vegetable oil over medium heat. Cook the seasoned chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Transfer the seared chicken to a greased baking dish. Mix cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and chives until smooth, then spread over the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle half of the crispy bacon on top, then cover with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake for about 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly, and chicken reaches 165°F.
  7. Remove from oven and top with remaining bacon and garnishes. Serve warm.
