Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the lean ground beef. Cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it apart until fully browned. Then add the diced onion, sautéing for an additional 3–4 minutes until soft.
- Stir in the can of Manwich sauce and any optional diced tomatoes. Pour in the chicken or beef broth and bring to a gentle boil, simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in the uncooked pasta and mix it into the sauce. Cover the skillet and cook for 9–11 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is al dente.
- Reduce heat to low and add the frozen corn and cubed melting cheese. Stir until combined and cheese has melted.
- Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish with non-stick spray or butter. Transfer the mixture into the dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling. Remove foil for a few minutes if desired for a golden-brown topping.
