Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Peel and cube about three large sweet potatoes. Place in boiling water and cook for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and mash until creamy.
  2. Add ½ cup milk, ⅓ cup brown sugar, ¼ cup melted butter, 1 beaten egg, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ½ teaspoon nutmeg, and a pinch of salt to the mashed sweet potatoes. Mix until smooth.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread sweet potato mixture into a greased 9x13 dish. Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are set.
  4. Combine 1 cup flour, ½ cup brown sugar, and ¼ cup melted butter for the streusel topping. Mix until crumbly. If desired, add ½ cup mini marshmallows.
  5. Sprinkle streusel topping over baked sweet potato base, then add remaining mini marshmallows. Bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until marshmallows are golden brown.
  6. Broil for 2–3 minutes to achieve a toasted effect on the topping. Watch closely to prevent burning.

Notes
