- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice a fresh baguette into thin rounds, about ½ inch thick, and arrange them on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and toast for 8-10 minutes until golden.
- Zest and juice half a lemon into a mixing bowl. Add cream cheese, dill, and chives. Beat until light and fluffy, for about 2 minutes.
- Spread the lemon-dill cream cheese mixture generously over each crostini slice after they have toasted and cooled slightly.
- Place a piece of smoked salmon atop each crostini. Optionally, add a small dollop of whole grain mustard on top of the salmon.
