  • 1 cup Fontina Cheese shredded
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 large Eggs
For Garnish
  • 0.25 cup Chives chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a pie plate generously.
  2. Melt 1.5 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, then add onions and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute. In a large mixing bowl, combine the onion and garlic mixture with corn, milk, cheeses, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and chives.
  4. Incorporate the eggs into the mixture and stir thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the buttered pie plate.
  5. Melt the remaining butter and mix with panko breadcrumbs. Sprinkle this on top of the filling.
  6. Place the pie in the oven on a baking sheet and bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before garnishing with paprika and chives.
