Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for about 2 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
