Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and heat a large ovenproof skillet.
  2. Whisk together ginger, garlic, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, thyme, smoked paprika, olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
  3. Reserve a quarter cup of marinade in a small bowl for later use.
  4. Pat chicken dry and slice in half; season with salt and pepper, then marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Sear the marinated chicken crusted with pecans in the hot skillet.
  6. Bake chicken in the oven for 15-17 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Drizzle reserved marinade over the chicken before serving and garnish with fresh thyme.
