Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper with olive oil until well combined. Set aside.
  2. Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Apply the spice rub all over the turkey, focusing on the skin.
  3. Place the halved garlic head, unpeeled onion, and fresh thyme at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  4. Lay the seasoned turkey breast on top of the aromatics in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW for about 6 hours.
  5. Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and let it rest on a cutting board for 20 minutes.
  6. Preheat your broiler. Place the turkey breast under the broiler for 3-5 minutes until the skin crisps up.
  7. Strain the cooking liquid into a saucepan. Add butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually stir in reserved liquid until thick.
  8. Slice the turkey breast and serve with gravy drizzled on top.
