Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, freshly grated ginger, and sriracha until the brown sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes uniform.
- Cook the Turkey: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and sprinkle with garlic powder. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Sauté the Veggies: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil followed by the chopped zucchini, grated carrot, and diced red pepper. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3-5 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
- Combine & Thicken: Reduce the heat and return the cooked turkey to the skillet. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture, then create a cornstarch slurry by mixing cornstarch with a bit of water. Stir into the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Serve: Serve your Ground Turkey Stir Fry over fluffy jasmine rice. Garnish with chopped green onion tops and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
