  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a 9-inch cast-iron skillet inside to warm.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 large eggs, 1 cup of whole milk, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 4 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter, ½ teaspoon of fine salt, and ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Mix until smooth.
