Cooking Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- Add pasta and cook according to package instructions for about 8-10 minutes until al dente.
- Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup of cooking water.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add cherry tomatoes and cook until they soften and burst, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in fresh basil leaves and a pinch of salt, cooking for another 2 minutes.
- Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese, and optional crushed red pepper flakes and lemon zest.
