Step-by-Step Instructions for Creamy Garlic Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Add your pasta and cook until al dente, around 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Reduce heat to low, pour in heavy cream, and stir continuously. Allow it to simmer for about 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Sprinkle in freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until it melts completely into the sauce.
  5. Fold the drained pasta into the creamy garlic sauce, allowing it to warm through for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh herbs or crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
