Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in a baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked and juices run clear. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces once cooled.
  2. While chicken cools, wash and dice celery into small pieces. Slice green onions thinly. Halve or quarter the blackberries and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, diced celery, sliced green onions, blackberries, and chopped walnuts. Gently fold together.
  4. Spoon in cottage cheese and mayonnaise. Mix gently to coat ingredients without crushing blackberries.
  5. Sprinkle in salt and pepper to taste, then mix gently once more.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish or keep in mixing bowl, cover, and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
